Saint Margaret's College has eleven Welfare Staff members, one per floor. These are senior students who provide pastoral and academic support to their floor and help with the smooth running of the College. They can be approached at any time with problems or general questions.

Anna Hoek-Sims: Hiya! I'm Anna from good ol' Palmy North. I'm studying 2nd year law this year and continuing my BA of Japanese, French and Politics in 2011. I want to contribute loads of enthusiam to the team as well as
languages and to help all the new students relax, enjoy and love their
time at SMC and Otago Uni! Don't forget that each bubble is a new and
exciting opportunity, so go out and pop all those bubbles!
 
Chris Fernando: Hey I'm Chris and like a few others in the Welfare Staff Team, I come from Christchurch. I'm currently in the 2nd year of a Physiology degree. I love sports and bring a friendly, approachable, fun loving persona to the Welfare Staff Team in 2010. 
 
Christopher Heydon: Hi, I'm Christopher. While I currently live in Dunedin, I have also spent time living in Nepal and Fiji. This year I will be doing my 3rd year in BA(Hons) in History and am thoroughly enjoying it. What I hope I can contribute is a sense of fun, enthusiasm, all round approachability and an interest in sport.
 
Elizabeth Meyer: Hey I’m Liz, all the way from the bottom of the South Island, in Invercargill! I’m now in my 2nd year of University, studying towards a MusB (Hons). Music’s one of my passions, so I love what I’m studying! I’d like to think of myself adding encouragement, support and creativity to the mix!
 
Griegan Panckhurst: Hey hey I'm Griegan! Originally from Timaru. 2010 brings on the third year of my BSc in Physics, which has been a passion of mine since school. Always up for a good time (aka sing-a-long), I look forward to a great year ahead!
 
Lisa Welsh: Hey I'm Lisa and I'm from good old Geraldine! I'm currently in my 3rd year at Otago, studying Physiotherapy and loving it! I'm a very approachable person, bringing a fun-loving vibrancy to the team. I love having loads of fun and laughter along the way, so roll on the sweet times of 2010!!
 
Michelle Baird: Hi, I'm Michelle and hail originally from Christchurch. I am studying Physiotherapy and am currently in my 3rd year at Uni. I love organising social events, such as quizzes, as well as baking and being creative.
 
Nigel Yeoh: Kia Ora, I’m Nigel, born and raised in Christchurch. I’m currently in my 3rd year studying Medicine and really enjoying it. I like to think that I will bring extreme-ness to the Staff Team of 2010!
 
Samara O’Neill: Hi everyone. I'm Samara and hail from Palmerston North. This year I will be studying 2nd year medicine. I'm looking forward to meeting all the newbies coming to St Margs in 2010. I really enjoyed my first year here at Otago Uni and hope to help others have the same experience. I also hope to help Nigel bring even more extreme-ness to the Staff Team! 2010 here we come!!
 
Sunniva Jones: Hello, I'm Sunniva but you can call me Sunni.  I'm from the sunshine city, Nelson.  This year I will be completing my 2nd year in a Bachelor of Biomedical Sciences.  I want to help you all get the most out of the awesome opportunities St Margaret's offers, while having the best time along the way.  I'm really looking forward to getting to know you, and bonding with my fellow staff members!  Bring on 2010!
 
Yeri Kim: Hi I’m Yeri and I’m from North Shore City in Auckland. I am currently studying 3rd year of Bachelor of Biomedical Science majoring in Physiology. In addition to science, I have a passion for music in orchestral and solo performance and enjoy exploring New Zealand outdoors through tramping. To the Staff Team of 2010, I will share insightful leadership driven by integrity and bring creative ideas and a friendly smile!
